Governing Council and Committees
The Association’s Governing Council, equivalent to a Board of Directors, is the primary governing body. The Governing Council establishes the policies and procedures for the Association. The Governing Council has the authority to hire employees to assist in the Association’s daily operations, including staffing of an Administrative Office.
Elections for Officers of the Association are to be held once a year. All regular, emeritus, charter, sustaining, and honorary lifetime members as well as technical staff members in good standing are eligible for election to Governing Council positions. Officer positions are those which are heavily involved in the operations, finances and strategic planning of the Association.
